everything's simple

money worries:
searching my pillow for
a cool soft spot

from the damp
closet carpet:
mushrooms

grey silk suit
shakes a pebble

a white picket fence

Summer at last!
By why so hot?

In a pond,
in a marsh:
a bird on every stone.

solitary lonesome cloud

scarlet oak
blue in the
starlit moon

a sparrow in the maple
not a sparrow
not the maple

for years this tree and me
